A Muted Inspiration Board

Wow. When I saw this inspiration board via {casando ideias}, I thought to myself, how did she know that this is what I want, ha. I love the whole muted color scheme, love it. This is something I definitely want to achieve at my wedding. What a lovely board to be inspired by! Ahh, must say that I love me some wedding blogs! This totally made my Friday.

Ruffly Belt

I like the idea of a ruffly belt for a simple, elegant wedding dress. Luckily, if I ever want to delve in to my creative side, I can easily make this, via the tutorial at 100 Layer Cake! Check it out.

Bridal Extravaganza Recap

So we attended the Bridal Extravaganza this past weekend, and let me just say whoa. The number of vendors, and people, were a little overwhelming. We were able to try the best cheesecake cake via Bavarian Cakery, yum!! We also were able to meet with several photographers that will definitely go on our list of contenders. Overall, the bridal extravaganza was a good experience, and I'm glad we went.

Lately, I've been drooling over these Pepe Botella dresses I saw on {casando ideias}:

They're just beautiful... the details, ruffles, just love them.

A Beautiful Wedding

I wanted to post some pictures of my really good friends' wedding, which was about a year and a half ago. I loved, and actually still love the pictures from the day of. All of the details that went in to wedding, the venue, the people, made this wedding absolutely beautiful. All pictures by J.Cogliandro Photography.

Wedding was held at Northwest Forest in La Hacienda

Groom...

I love this picture of her...

Groom's face as she walks down the aisle.

The lovely ceremony.

Husband and wife!

Beautiful pictures of the couple.

First dance.

Father-daughter/Mother-son dance.

Cake time!

A ride back to their room, once the reception ended.

This has got to be my favorite... A little fun in their room.

A great ending to a beautiful day.

** Forgot to mention, the picture above won an Accolade of Excellence at WPPI 2009, per J.Cogliandro's blog. Check out his blog, for tons of beautiful pictures!

Great weekend!

We had a great weekend, we went back to San Antonio to enjoy some time away from Houston. For some reason, there's always so many people in SA. It was so hot, but we cooled off by taking a swim in the pool, unfortunately it started raining, but eh, what's the worst that was going to happen to us, get wet?? Lol, that's what J said to me, when I complained about the rain, ha. Of course we went to the Riverwalk, which we do every time we go to SA, but this time, we went to the "special" bridge, where he proposed. J was so adamant that I take a picture next to the bridge, ha, so here I am, next to it:

Here we are at the bridge, excuse my half closed eyes, ha, the flash gets me, almost every time!

We also went to this cool little Irish pub where they had a piano player who sang by request, it was pretty funny. He had the whole bar singing along with him.

After the, um, I don't know, like gazillion times we've been to SA, we finally took the boat tour of the Riverwalk. It was fun, glad we did it.

P.S. only two more weeks 'till summer school is over with, thank goodness. I am counting down the days, for sure!

Two left!

Can you believe it! Two more classes left, and I'm done with school. I'm so excited, but this last month is going to be hard. But I can handle it, right? I have to. Just think, by August 5th, I'll be done, with nothing to do after work.

I'm hoping that post school, J and I will be able to pick up some hobbies here and there. I really want to be active, and um yea, want to shed a couple lbs. I'm thinking biking would be a great hobby to pick up. We will see what happens. School ending also means I can start the whole "wedding planning." I'm actually kind of scared, just because I have friends who are getting married, and they tell me it's pretty expensive. I'm so picky, just don't know if I'll be able to have my "dream" wedding. Maybe I need to revisit the details of my "dream" wedding, ha.

The Bridal Extravaganza of Houston is coming soon, in two and a half weeks to be exact. I'm definitely going to try to go, just to get that bridal show experience. This will be something different, but I can't wait!

On another note, I'm loving the signs this couple put up for their wedding:

Lately I've been loving these Jennifer Salzman dresses. They're so different, yet simple and elegant.

I'd have to say this is my favorite:
